Prestige Network ranked in the UK’s top five language service providers
Public Sector language services specialist, Prestige Network, has been ranked as one of the top translation and interpretation providers in the country in a recent independent financial report.
Thatcham-based Prestige Network is celebrating being named one of the top five language service agencies in the country in a report published by Plimsoll Publishing, who provide financial analysis for industry sectors across the UK. Prestige was assessed on its financial and commercial strength and the results were compared against 170 language service providers in the UK.
Prestige received a glowing report, which warranted its ranking as one of the top five industry partners in the country. Its financial strength was rated as well above the industry average and the company was placed in the top twenty companies by market share.
With 15 years experience in the sector, the company’s reputation for excellence has contributed to its success in the field of translation and interpretation provision and it continues to win high-profile public sector contracts across the country. Prestige has recently been commissioned by Nottinghamshire NHS Trust to provide services for their mental health hospitals. .
This three year contract is for the provision of specialised face-to face interpretation and translation services. All of the translators at Prestige are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked as standard, which makes the delivery of this work a straightforward matter. Annett Magore, the hospital’s link manager said: “The contract is going very well and we are excited about the future with Prestige Network, as we are hoping to benefit from their add on service. They have been very effective so far both in terms of their preparation of linguists for assignments and their help in promoting the service to users in different wards.”
Shohreh Fleming, Chief Executive, for Prestige Network, attributes the company’s success to its forward thinking ethos and ability to adapt. Shohreh commented: “The company was originally established as a provider of multi-lingual software but we soon identified that there was a demand for broader language services. We responded to this need and have grown our team to enable us to provide comprehensive language services, with access to the largest network of translators and interpreters in the UK.
“This allows us to provide a bespoke service to our clients even at very short notice. We supply both written and oral translation work through our contract with the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions), which no other company in the country does, and we send around 100 people to locations across the country a day to deliver this work.
“Having such extensive resources to draw upon allows us to provide much needed services for the public sector and we are currently working with approximately 300 public sector organisations. We can offer translation and interpretation for a diverse range of languages, which is vital to public sector bodies, as well as having the services of industry-experienced translators, who are conversant in technical terms specific to their field.
“We are also proud of the support services that we can offer to compliment our interpretation and translation work. We know that when we communicate, it is about more than just words, and we can provide specialist advice to help our clients understand this cultural process.
“Everyone at Prestige Network is delighted with the results of the Plimsoll survey, which have confirmed our belief in the company and point to the continued success and growth of Prestige for many years to come.”
